Conflict of Interest Policies
No Conflicts of Interest Statement
Authors must make a declaration stating that there are no conflicts of interest that could influence the results presented in their article, as well as their discussion and the conclusions reached.
A conflict of interest may be associated with the funding received for the development of the study, which could condition the publication and interpretation of the results obtained, whether positive or negative. It also arises when the author or co-authors have an affinity, employment or personal relationship, or an adverse or hostile sentiment toward companies, institutions, or groups that may be directly affected or benefited by the results being published.
The decision to accept or reject the article will be based on the academic and scientific analysis of the material, which is conducted by external reviewers and will not be influenced by the authors’ declaration of potential conflicts of interest.
For its part, Revista CIE is committed to avoiding conflicts of interest during the evaluation of articles, requesting that editors and external reviewers participating in the manuscript evaluation process declare whether they believe there is a conflict of interest in their evaluation process due to having an antagonistic stance toward the research line of the manuscript they are reviewing (the evaluation is double-blind; the reviewers do not know who the authors of the work are, and vice versa).
