Digital Archives Preservation Policy
Revista CIE, in its effort to ensure the permanence of the content published in various volumes and issues, hosts backup copies and respective safeguards on external servers outside the institution. Additionally, it conducts constant monitoring and oversight of the technological environment to prevent potential cyber-attacks. Revista CIE also employs DOI and metadata identification to facilitate digital preservation.
Revista ClE is part of the Public Knowledge Project’s Private network, which includes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems. These systems create an archival framework aimed at establishing permanent repositories of the journal among participating libraries, allowing these libraries to generate archives for content preservation, backup, and restoration of originals when necessary.
Furthermore, the journal carries out various processes to ensure accessibility over time and across technological changes for the digital documents it manages and publishes. These include:
- Uniform Resource Identifiers: The journal uses DOI as a persistent digital identifier for authorship standardization and normalization.
- Authorship Identification: The journal uses ORCID as a persistent digital identifier for authorship standardization and normalization.
- Editing Formats: The files published on the journal’s official portal are available in machine-readable and easily reproducible formats (PDF and HTML).
