Author Guidelines and Editorial Process

Revista CIE is an open access scientific journal that accepts original and unpublished manuscripts in the field of education and health sciences. Submissions must meet standards of academic rigor, originality, and thematic relevance.

Editorial Process and Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts undergo an editorial evaluation process under a double-blind peer review system, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers.

The editorial process consists of the following stages:

  1. Manuscript submission
    Authors submit their manuscripts through the OJS platform in accordance with the journal’s editorial guidelines.
  2. Initial editorial screening
    The editorial team verifies compliance with formal requirements, scope, originality, and preliminary scientific quality.
    (Estimated time: 3–7 days)
  3. Peer review assignment
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two external reviewers with expertise in the subject area, under a double-blind review process.
    (Estimated time: 2–4 weeks)
  4. Editorial decision
    Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial board issues one of the following decisions:
    • Accepted
    • Accepted with minor or major revisions
    • Resubmit for further review
    • Rejected
  5. Author revisions
    When revisions are required, authors must address the reviewers’ comments within the established timeframe.
    (Estimated time: 1–2 weeks)
  6. Final decision and editing
    The editorial team evaluates the revised manuscript and, if appropriate, approves it for publication.
  7. Publication
    The accepted manuscript is copyedited, formatted, and published in the corresponding issue.

To ensure transparency, each published article includes the following dates:

  • Received date
  • Accepted date
  • Published date

Evaluation Criteria

Manuscripts are evaluated based on:

  • Originality and contribution to knowledge
  • Methodological rigor
  • Clarity and coherence of writing
  • Scientific and academic relevance
  • Compliance with ethical standards

Publication Ethics

Revista CIE adheres to principles of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Practices such as plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation are strictly prohibited.
